Job summary

New Century FS, Inc is offering an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern position at Hartley, IA for the Summer of 2027. The intern will train under location management and support general agronomy functions to learn the FS and GROWMARK system, the agriculture industry, and to prepare for a future career.

Responsibilities include hands-on field experience, equipment maintenance, visiting FS locations and customers, crop monitoring, and applying crop protection products.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certificate from a college, technical college or university in good standing.
• Preferred candidates are entering their first or second year of college during the internship.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
