Job summary

AgVantage FS, a GROWMARK system member, is seeking a Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern for Spring/Summer 2027 in New Hampton, IA. You will train and assist with general agronomy functions to learn the FS and GROWMARK system and prepare for a future career in agriculture.

Responsibilities include field and operations work, equipment maintenance, visiting locations and customers, operating crop scouting tech, applying nutrition and protection products, and learning ordering and

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a degree or certification and in good academic standing at internship start.
Preferred candidates are going into their first or second year of college at the time of the internship.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record; willingness to travel.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
CDL and commercial applicator license with required endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
Visits FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
Gains understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
