Job summary

Insight FS is offering an Agronomy Operations intern position in Southern Wisconsin, under location management, to learn the foundations of agronomy and the industry for a future career. You will gain hands-on experience in the field, assist with facility maintenance, and build professional relationships with customers at FS locations.

Responsibilities include operating crop monitoring equipment, applying crop nutrition and protection products, and handling ordering and inventory processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification and in good academic standing.
• Ability to obtain CDL and commercial applicator’s license with endorsements, driving record satisfactory and medical card.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently with strong communication and customer-service focus.
• Willingness to travel and work in varying weather and heights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
