Job summary

Insight FS is seeking an Agronomy Intern in Wisconsin to gain hands-on experience in the agronomy field. You will visit FS locations and customers, build professional relationships, and coordinate field activities while assisting with equipment maintenance and inventory control.

The role involves operating crop monitoring technology, and travel as needed. You will work under the Sales/Marketing Manager and participate in training across related functions.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a college, technical college or university.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
• Frequently required to lift 51-70 pounds as needed.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in the agronomy field.
• Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Coordinate communication with multi-site contacts, schedule field activities and carry out projects.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Gain understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
