Job summary

Gateway FS, Inc. in Nashville, IL seeks an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern for Summer 2027. You will train under location management, assist with general agronomy functions, and learn the FS and GROWMARK system to prepare for a future agricultural career.

The program runs for 9–10 weeks in Spring/Summer 2027, with required weekly activity reports and a project to improve business efficiencies. Orientation is May 17–18, 2027 in Bloomington, IL.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification in college/university or similar program.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
• Class B Non-CDL license preferred or obtainable.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
