Job summary

Gateway FS offers an Exploring Agriculture Internship in agronomy operations for Summer 2027. You will be trained under location management at Gateway FS and gain hands-on experience across the FS and GROWMARK system, learning about the agriculture industry and future career paths.

Position requires lifting up to 70 pounds, CDL eligibility, and a passion for customer service and teamwork. The internship runs 9–10 weeks, with orientation May 17–18, 2027 in Bloomington, IL.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification from college/ university in good standing; first or second year preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel.
• Must obtain or be able to obtain Class B Non-CDL license.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather.
• Willingness to participate in required training related to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits FS locations and builds professional relationships with customers.
• Assists grain operations with receiving, handling, conditioning, storing, and loading grain safely.
• Supports petroleum operations through delivery activities, inventory management, inspections, and customer service.
