Job summary

AgVantage FS seeks an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern for Spring/Summer 2027 in Randalia, IA. This hands-on role trains in agronomy functions, field operations, and inventory management under location management guidance, preparing you for a career in the FS and GROWMARK System.

You will travel to FS locations, interact with customers, and participate in training that covers safety, compliance, and policies. The program runs 9–10 weeks with an orientation in Bloomington, IL.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certificate from a college or university in good standing.
• Preference for CDL and commercial applicator’s license, valid medical card.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; travel willingness.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather; heights/elevated platforms.
• Willingness to participate in required training on policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
