Job summary

Frontier Cooperative, a Nebraska agricultural leader serving farming communities with grain, agronomy, feed and energy products, seeks an experienced Operations Manager. You will lead business and customer strategy, oversee facilities and equipment, and supervise chemical plant and anhydrous ammonia operations to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and agricultural experience.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven mentoring and coaching ability; able to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop market plans for new and existing customers; stay current on agronomy products.
• Define objectives, implement plans, and evaluate outcomes using business, financial, service, and operations data.
• Enforce customer service standards; analyze and resolve complaints; promote improved products and expanded services in the trade territory.
• Manage and maintain working condition of vehicles, machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds; ensure OSHA/EPA compliance.
• Oversee chemical plant operations: inventory, staffing, and safety; back-up for chemical mixes as needed.
• Monitor anhydrous ammonia station for leaks; assist with preparation and transfer; ensure proper cleanup and disposal.
