Job summary

Wabash Valley Service Company is offering an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern position for Spring 2027. You will work under location management, train in agronomy functions, and prepare for a future career in the FS and GROWMARK System.

Gain hands-on experience in field operations, crop scouting, and inventory processes, while attending required events and submitting weekly activity reports during a 9–10 week internship.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification with good academic standing at internship start.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel; CDL preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on agronomy field experience and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
