Job summary

Syngenta is seeking an experienced agronomy researcher to lead regional trials and deliver targeted agronomic solutions. You will manage the full research lifecycle, coordinate with sales and agronomy teams, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires advanced degrees in agronomy or substantial field experience, strong statistics knowledge, and excellent communication and leadership abilities. Hybrid work options and strong benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• PhD and/or MS in Agronomy or related field preferred.
• BS in Agronomy with 5+ years in agronomy research allowed.
• 5+ years in a commercial or R&D agronomy role.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent personnel and facility management.
• Deep understanding of statistical principles and data analysis.
• Knowledge of farming best practices, seed technologies, and crop protection.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with sales and agronomy teams to identify regional needs and deliver agronomic solutions.
• Lead the research lifecycle from study design to field mapping for trials.
• Oversee field activities including planting, maintenance, harvest, and data collection across multiple sites.
• Conduct statistical analysis of yield and agronomic data and present findings to internal teams, dealers, customers, and industry influencers.
• Maintain research equipment precision and efficiency through maintenance and seasonal preparation.
