Job summary

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking an Agriculture Project Manager to lead agricultural-focused engineering projects, coordinating between civil, environmental, and surveying teams, and guiding projects from proposal through completion.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to business development while delivering high-quality design and construction support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
• 5-10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience.
• Strong AutoCAD design experience.
• Proven ability to manage projects, staff, and budgets effectively.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage agricultural-focused engineering projects, including AutoCAD-based design, permitting, and construction observation and certification
• Serve as a primary client contact, providing clear communication, project updates, and technical guidance
• Support business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in due diligence activities
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and production staff to ensure successful project delivery
• Oversee and manage contract budgets and project financial performance
• Mentor, develop, and manage staff while supporting office and company growth initiatives
• Perform and oversee general civil, agricultural, and environmental engineering design work
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary MSG teams including Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Civil, Agricultural, Traffic, Transportation, and Construction Services
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations
