Job summary

GreenStone Farm Credit Services is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our agriculture lending team. You will lead detailed loan analyses, assess credit risk, and prepare comprehensive loan narratives to support approvals.

Expect collaboration across teams to ensure accurate underwriting and timely closing of loan applications. Minimum 1+ years in credit analysis or agricultural lending, with a strong GAAP foundation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in business, accounting, agriculture management.
• Deep understanding of credit analysis, underwriting, risk assessment and financial modeling on larger, more complex loans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Detailed analysis of loan requests with meticulous attention to detail.
• Conduct financial analysis, evaluate earnings data, project income, and compare data using similar farms or credit standards.
• Prepare and present loan narratives covering capital, capacity, collateral, conditions, key risks, mitigants, and recommendations for approvals.
• Assist in portfolio management by monitoring loan covenants and borrower obligations.
• Review legal documents to ensure terms align with risk appetite and policies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions for underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to process loan applications through closing.
