Job summary

Utah State University Extension’s Agriculture & Natural Resources / 4-H Assistant supports the professor in delivering educational programs, maintaining demonstration projects, and assisting with youth development activities. This temporary, part-time role offers hands-on experience in extension offices, gardens, pest monitoring, and community events around Tooele.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with youth programs, 4-H, education, or mentoring preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors and with the public; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with educational and outreach programs.
• Support agriculture, horticulture, and natural resource projects.
• Monitor pest and related research projects.
• Maintain demonstration plots and gardens.
• Support office operations and event logistics.
• Represent the Extension at community events.
