Upper Coastal Plains Research Station in North Carolina is hiring an Agricultural Technician II to support tobacco research and production. You will assist Agricultural Research Specialists with project setup, field plots, soil preparation, planting, spraying and harvesting, and you will operate and maintain farm equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year in crop or animal care, or related laboratory experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Agricultural Research Specialists in tobacco research and production projects.
  • Perform routine tasks: soil preparation, plot layout, planting, spray treatments, and harvesting.
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment and general facilities.
  • Fulfill other duties related to general farm practices as assigned.
