Job summary

Battle River Implements Ltd., a John Deere dealership in East Central Alberta, is seeking an Agricultural Sales Representative for our Wainwright location. The role offers full-time hours and an hourly wage of CA$24.00.

You will represent the company in the sale of machinery to customers, maintain up-to-date product knowledge, and ensure timely completion of all sales documentation. This position emphasizes building strong customer relationships and following the complete sales process from

Qualifications

• 1+ years of equipment sales experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming operational practices preferred.
• Computer knowledge and basic PC functions (Microsoft, Internet).
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers within an assigned customer list.
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment the dealership sells.
• Completes all sales documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains all assigned customer information as outlined by the Area Sales Manager.
• Understands and follows the entire sales process from start to finish, including following up with customers to ensure high-level service.
• Participates in new equipment field demonstrations as required.
• Keeps current with customer's business activities and needs with timely communication to management.
• Maintains knowledge of financing options to assist customers with purchasing new and used machinery.
• Assists with special projects and attends training seminars as requested by supervisor.
• Keeps current on product knowledge and equipment values.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Other duties assigned by Management or related to customer service.
