Position Specifics

• Department: Service
• Reports To: Service Manager or Location Manager
• Supervises: None
• Purpose: Performs diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on agricultural equipment, with guidance from senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs agricultural equipment and IS products
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitors' products
• Maintains vehicle, tools, and work area condition
• Follows safety rules and completes reports
• Manages time and materials used
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1+ years experience in agricultural equipment service or equivalent
• Ability to perform repairs using proper tools and manuals
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems
• Proficiency with Service Advisor and basic computer skills
• Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles/equipment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Basic Service Technician certification preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Forklift license preferred
