Job summary

Beck's Hybrids in Olivia, MN seeks a Testing Site Lead to oversee day-to-day activities of yield testing staff at Beck's testing sites. You will coordinate plots, collect data, and ensure plots meet required characteristics while working with the Testing Manager.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in field research, strong agronomic and mechanical skills, and the ability to manage on-site staff and equipment across multiple locations. This is a safety-sensitive, full-time role with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an agricultural field required.
• Class A CDL and pesticide applicator license required.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Safety-sensitive position; pre-employment screenings required.
• Minimum 5 years field research experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plot locations and logistics with plot cooperators.
• Plant mini-strip and replicated plots; transport equipment.
• Collect data and maintain plots per Beck's standards.
• Maintain research equipment; diagnose and repair as needed.
• Supervise full-time and part-time staff on site; interview team members.
• Work with other department leads to maximize site efficiency.
• Assist with other duties as required by the Testing Manager.
