Job summary

Beck's Superior Hybrids seeks a Testing Site Lead to manage day-to-day yield testing at one or more Beck's testing sites in Olivia, MN. The role leads planting, data collection, maintenance, and harvest activities, coordinating with plot cooperators and on-site staff.

The candidate should have a bachelor's in agriculture, CDL, pesticide license, and 5+ years of field research experience with supervisory capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an agricultural-related field is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong agronomic and mechanical skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plot locations and logistics with plot cooperators.
• Plant mini-strip and replicated plots; transport equipment.
• Data collection as directed by the Testing Manager.
• Plot maintenance and applying fertilizer, herbicide, and insecticide as needed.
• Plot harvest and collection of agronomic notes.
• Maintain testing equipment to Beck's Hybrids standards; diagnose repairs.
