Job summary

Altorfer Inc. seeks an outside sales professional to cover Southern Illinois, selling Fendt RoGator and TerraGator to Retail Fertilizer and Agriculture customers. You will work in Bond, Madison, Clinton, and surrounding counties, driving new and used equipment sales.

Ideal candidates have strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to travel to trade shows and customer sites. Base pay is $25,000 per year plus commission, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree preferred or 5+ years of machinery sales experience.
• Strong understanding of the Application and Ag equipment market.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
• Ability to demonstrate Application Equipment to customers.
• Ability to train customers on machine operations and value-added selling.
• Strong financial negotiating skills.
• Must be organized with strong time management.
• Willingness to relocate within territory and travel to events.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment as a self-starter and adapt to change.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (MV).

Responsibilities

• Focus on providing viable equipment solutions to Retail Fertilizer and Agriculture customers.
• Achieve maximum sales (new/used) and profitability in assigned territory.
• Allocate call frequency between existing customers and opportunities.
• Prepare sales presentations, reports, forecasts, and quotes.
• Evaluate used equipment to assess trade values.
• May perform other related duties as requested.
