Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is seeking an outside sales professional to sell Fendt RoGator, TerraGator, and Caterpillar equipment to Retail Fertilizer and Ag customers across Western Illinois.

You will cover counties including Menard, Sangamon, Montgomery, and others, focusing on new and used equipment solutions. The role requires strong negotiation, territory management, and the ability to present quotes, forecasts, and training for customers.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree preferred or 5+ years of machinery sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment market and trade values.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to train customers on machine operations and value-added selling.
• Must have valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Sell Fendt RoGator, TerraGator, and Caterpillar products to retailers in Western Illinois.
• Develop sales forecasts, quotes, and presentations.
• Travel within assigned counties to meet customers and trade shows.
• Balance call frequency between existing customers and new opportunities.
• Evaluate used equipment trade-in values.
