Job summary
Top Echelon Software LLC's client, a long-established agricultural equipment manufacturer, seeks a Design Engineer to focus on designing and redesigning feed mixers for livestock using Creo. You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with product management, sales, manufacturing, and customers.
The role requires a BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering, 1+ year of design experience with heavy equipment, and strong 3D CAD skills.
Qualifications
- BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1+ year experience designing agricultural or heavy equipment.
- Solid 3D CAD skills; Creo used.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, and welding helpful.
- Farm background appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Design and redesign feed mixers for livestock using Creo.
- Develop and evaluate product designs based on customer needs, manufacturability, cost, and safety.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, manufacturing, and customers to develop design specifications.
- Develop test plans and direct testing of the design.
- Set product quality and tolerance specifications.
