Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Design Engineer to focus on designing and redesigning feed mixers for livestock using Creo. You will work with product management, sales and manufacturing to develop robust designs that meet customer needs, cost targets and safety standards.

The role requires a BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with 3D CAD (Creo); familiarity with metal fabrication, machining, and welding is a plus. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in designing agricultural or heavy equipment preferred.
• Proficient 3D CAD skills; Creo experience required.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, and welding helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design or redesign feed mixers for livestock using Creo.
• Develop and evaluate designs for manufacturability, cost and safety.
• Create design specifications with PM, sales, manufacturing, and customers.
• Develop test plans and direct testing of the design.
