Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Design Engineer for a long-standing agricultural equipment manufacturer. You will design and redesign feed mixer components using Creo, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet customer needs, manufacturability, cost and safety.

The role requires a BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering and 1+ year of relevant experience. You will develop specifications, test plans, and tolerances, while staying informed on new products and industry

Qualifications

BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
1+ year of experience designing agricultural or heavy equipment.
Good 3D CAD skills, Creo experience preferred.
Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, and welding helpful.
Farm background would be wonderful.

Responsibilities

Design or redesign feed mixers for livestock using Creo.
Develop and evaluate product designs based on customer needs, manufacturability, cost, and safety.
Develop design specifications with product management, sales and marketing, manufacturing, and customers for projects.
Develop test plans and direct testing of the design.
Set product quality and tolerance specifications for designs.
Design and/or select hydraulic, power transmission, and structural components.
Work with manufacturing to develop tooling and new processes.
Maintain knowledge of company products by attending trade shows and monitoring competitors.
