Job summary

Sora Resource Group has a client, an established agricultural equipment manufacturer, recruiting a Design Engineer in Wisconsin. The role focuses on designing and redesigning feed mixers for livestock, using Creo to develop robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will collaborate with product teams and manufacturing to turn customer needs into efficient designs. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering with 1+ year of experience in heavy equipment design, plus Creo

Qualifications

BS in agricultural or mechanical engineering is required.
1+ year of experience designing agricultural or heavy equipment.
Creo CAD skills and metal fabrication knowledge are required.
Experience with machining and welding is a plus.
Farm background is preferred.

Responsibilities

Contribute on a project basis to design or redesign feed mixers for livestock using Creo.
Develop and evaluate product designs based on customer needs, manufacturability, cost and safety.
Create design specifications with product management, sales, manufacturing and customers.
Develop test plans and direct testing of designs.
Set product quality and tolerance specifications for designs.
Design or select hydraulic, power transmission and structural components.
Collaborate with manufacturing on tooling and processes.
Acquire broad product knowledge by attending trade shows and engaging with customers.
