Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Design Engineer to focus on designing and redesigning feed mixers for livestock, utilizing Creo for 3D modeling. You will collaborate with product management, sales, manufacturing, and customers to develop robust, safe, manufacturable solutions.

The role requires a BS in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering and 1+ year experience in agricultural or heavy equipment design, with a strong emphasis on CAD proficiency and fabrication knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 1+ year designing agricultural or heavy equipment; internship counts.
• Strong 3D CAD skills, Creo experience a must.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining and welding is helpful.
• Farm background would be wonderful.

Responsibilities

• Design or redesign feed mixers for livestock using Creo.
• Develop and evaluate product designs based on customer needs, manufacturability, cost and safety.
• Develop design specifications with product management, sales, marketing, manufacturing and customers.
• Develop test plans and direct testing of the design.
• Set product quality and tolerance specifications and select components.
