Job summary

Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company is seeking an Ag/Commercial Marketing Underwriter to assess agricultural and commercial risks in the Centennial, CO area. The role combines fieldwork with in-office underwriting decisions and collaboration with agents to ensure accurate coverage.

You will conduct pre-inspections, review risks, accompany agents to insured appointments, and support policy development for Ag Promise and Commercial Package lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Insurance, or Risk Management.
• CPCU or CIC license required.
• Property & Casualty license preferred; must obtain within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-inspections to review and underwrite risks before policies are bound.
• Perform post-inspections for new and renewal properties to ensure risk remains aligned.
• Accompany agents on insured appointments to evaluate exposures.
• Attend closings to support Ag Promise and Commercial Package policy questions.
• Document details on autos, structures, property, farm property, equipment, and exposures.
• Coordinate, lead, and monitor audit, reinspection, and re-underwriting programs.
• Train underwriters and agency force on policies and endorsements.
