Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking a Visiting Professor to deliver practitioner-focused education for undergraduate and graduate nursing students in Louisiana. Courses meet once or twice weekly for eight weeks, blending face-to-face instruction with online discussions.

You will visit multiple clinical practicum sites across the region, typically 1–2 hours per site, and bring your professional experience into the classroom to enrich student engagement and learning.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse environment.
• Must have MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing.
• Active Louisiana RN license and active Louisiana APRN license.
• National certification through AANP or ANCC required for AGPC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to various clinical practicum locations across the region; typically 1–2 hours per site.
• Demonstrate Chamberlain Care by displaying respectful, professional behavior and fostering collaboration.
• Be available to support a diverse student body with varied backgrounds and preparation.
• Identify opportunities to engage students and respond quickly to needs for assistance.
• Share professional experience in nursing trends and opportunities to inform course content.
