Job summary

Chamberlain University in Louisiana seeks a Visiting Professor to share expertise with undergraduate and graduate students. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks, combining face-to-face sessions with online discussions and assignments.

Applicants must hold MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing, active Louisiana RN and APRN licenses, national certification through AANP or ANCC for AGPC, travel availability, and at least two years of graduate teaching and clinical nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Must have MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree.
• Must have an active unencumbered Louisiana RN nursing license.
• Must have an active unencumbered Louisiana APRN nursing license.
• National certification through the AANP or ANCC required for AGPC.
• Must have reliable transportation with availability and willingness to travel to a variety of clinical practicum sites throughout the region.
• A minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level; online teaching experience highly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing practice in a clinical setting is Required.
• Must have required subject matter expertise in the course of instruction.
• Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.

Responsibilities

• Candidates from the state of Louisiana needed to conduct site visits, potentially at multiple clinical practicum locations, throughout the region/state, typically once per 8-Week Session per site.
