Job summary

Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) in Reno is recruiting for a Social Worker 1 to support Adult Protective Services and House & Community Base Services. This role may underfill Social Worker 2 with HBCS and Social Worker 3 with APS, with advancement possible based on performance and authority endorsement.

The position requires licensure and focuses on assessment, care planning, home visits, and coordinated service delivery to protect vulnerable adults and support community living.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Social Worker or provisional licensure is required.
• Strong communication and interview skills to assess client needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform eligibility determinations, care planning, and home visits.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and document using case management software.
• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and ensure client safety.
• Coordinate services with other agencies and providers to meet client needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients and families.
