Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an Agile Project Manager Lead to guide the delivery of complex business and technology initiatives across multiple squads. You will align delivery with business priorities and collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to ensure value and predictability.

The role requires 7+ years of experience in project or program delivery, deep knowledge of Scrum/SAFe, and proficiency with Azure DevOps, Planview, and Jira.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of project, program, delivery management, or related experience, including at least 1 year leading Agile technology or business transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs and multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and practices, including Scrum and scaled Agile approaches such as SAFe.
• Skilled at managing delivery plans, risks, dependencies, budgets, resources, vendors, and competing priorities.
• Strong ability to manage stakeholders, communicate with executives, facilitate discussions, resolve conflict, and influence outcomes.
• Experience with Agile and portfolio delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Planview, Jira, or comparable platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities.

Responsibilities

How you'll make an impact

The Agile Project Manager Lead is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex business and technology products, platforms, programs, and strategic initiatives across multiple Agile squads. The role combines project and program management discipline with Agile delivery leadership, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and governance to ensure teams deliver value efficiently, predictably, and in alignment with business priorities.

This role serves as a key connection point among Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Technical Leads, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership. The Agile Project Manager Lead coordinates cross-functional execution, improves delivery transparency, manages risks and dependencies, supports organizational change, and promotes continuous improvement across the delivery ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex Agile initiatives across multiple squads and workstreams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, business partners, and technical stakeholders to support successful outcomes.
• Support the Gallagher Agile Ways of Working by facilitating or coordinating stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demonstrations, backlog refinement, and other delivery forums as needed.
• Partner with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to strengthen Agile practices, remove or escalated impediments, and advance team maturity.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile delivery principles while balancing governance, compliance, and business requirements.
• Participate in Agile communities of practice and champion consistent, practical application of Agile Ways of Working.
• Monitor program health through delivery metrics, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, capacity, and business outcomes.
• Ensure delivery information in Azure DevOps, Planview, or comparable tools is current, accurate, traceable, and suitable for leadership reporting.
• Facilitate timely decisions and resolution of blockers, competing priorities, resource constraints, and delivery conflicts.
• Serve as a trusted liaison among leadership, business stakeholders, Agile squads, technology teams, and vendors.
• Align stakeholder expectations with delivery scope, capacity, priorities, sequencing, and commitments.
• Promote transparency and support fact-based decision‑making at all levels.
• Act as a servant leader for cross‑functional delivery teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve program and group objectives.
• Observe team structures and delivery performance with technical and product leaders and recommend practical improvements that support maturity and success.
• Lead and mentor Scrum Masters, and delivery professionals, where applicable.
• Partner with squads to identify inefficiencies, recognize wins, refine processes, and embed continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable certification.
• Experience leading enterprise Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Architecture, Digital Transformation, or platform delivery programs.
• Experience operating in a global environment with distributed teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
