Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is conducting a search for an experienced Business Analyst for a Chicago-based retail technology company. This is a full-time, direct-hire position offering a hybrid schedule in Chicago, IL.

As a Business Analyst, you will partner with Product, Engineering and Customer Success to translate client needs into clear requirements, support delivery and UAT, and help ensure changes land in production. Strong communication with clients and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in a retail environment.
• Experience delivering in a product-led, agile environment.
• Strong user-centric thinking.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent communication with clients and third parties.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & requirements: Define requirements for new client onboarding.
• Change requests: Own requirements for client-initiated change requests (scope, outcomes, acceptance criteria).
• Backlog support: Assist with product backlog input and prioritization.
• Cross-functional delivery: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Finance, and Product Ops to align and deliver changes.
• UAT & deployment: Support User Acceptance Testing and help drive sign-off and deployment into production.
• Agile execution: Participate in planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Documentation: Update release-related help guides and API documentation.
