Job summary

Inabia-Software- seeks an experienced Oracle APEX & Forms Developer to modernize legacy Oracle Forms applications and migrate to Oracle APEX using Oracle Database 19c. The role focuses on analyzing applications, developing modern APEX solutions, optimizing PL/SQL, and ensuring security, performance, and maintainability.

The position requires 5–7 years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development and Oracle APEX experience, with collaboration in an Agile/Scrum environment and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development.
• 5–7 years of experience developing applications using Oracle APEX.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, preferably Oracle Database 19c.
• Experience developing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, packages, and complex SQL queries.
• Proficiency with Oracle SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
• Understanding of database design and data modeling principles.
• Experience integrating web services and working with application interfaces.
• Experience with SQL query optimization, debugging, performance tuning, and testing.
• Familiarity with Oracle and SQL Server database environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Oracle Forms applications, including architecture, database structures, business logic, and integrations.
• Migrate and modernize legacy Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX.
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications and user interfaces.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and complex SQL queries.
• Work with Oracle Database 19c to support application development, enhancements, and maintenance.
• Perform data analysis, data extraction, and scripting to support reporting and business requirements.
• Implement application security, user roles, and authorization mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform SQL debugging, testing, and performance tuning.
• Integrate web services and support system interfaces.
• Review existing technical documentation and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Prepare technical, functional, and system documentation.
• Support production releases, deployments, and release management activities.
• Generate reports and provide regular status updates to management and technical stakeholders.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to Commonwealth IT staff and other developers.
• Collaborate with technical leads and project teams to establish UI/UX standards and development best practices.
