Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Project Task Manager to lead IT modernization initiatives for the FHWA Office of Information Technology Services. You will provide governance, program management, and portfolio oversight in a federal IT environment.

The role emphasizes agile IT project management, collaboration with government stakeholders, and delivering technical and managerial support across multiple FHWA initiatives. This position offers competitive compensation and DC-area responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of work experience in program and portfolio management.
• Strong written and oral communications abilities.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOT Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide program management support services in the areas of project management and operations management.
• Deliver a comprehensive range of technical and professional services to support FHWA’s program management requirements, including governance strategies and integrated IT projects.
• Assist in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and managing governance strategies, plans, activities, policies, procedures, and tools.
• Support customers in implementing and maintaining governance strategies, plans, activities, policies, procedures, and tools.
• Evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of program and project management tools and capabilities.
• Assist in analysis, planning, design, development, selection, implementation, integration, and maintenance of project or program management tools such as resources, costs, risks, etc.
• Monitor performance, track/report trends, analyze issues and advise on corrective action plans for schedule, scope, and cost.
• Provide guidance on maintaining overall cost, schedule, and scope; perform IT initiative assessments and lessons learned.
• Create deliverables as specified by the COR and/or IT Project Manager.
