Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an IT Project Manager to design, develop, and oversee IT initiatives within a large federal entity's IT department. The role emphasizes agile PM leadership, cross-functional coordination, and delivering value on schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate will guide project planning, resource assessment, and management plans for new and ongoing efforts, including implementing agile tools and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in project management.
• 5+ years of experience in IT-related projects with leadership in at least 3 on-time, on-budget deliveries.
• 5+ years of programming experience in Java, JavaScript, JBOSS Fuse, AngularJS.
• Experience with API management, RESTful APIs, and cloud/on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and schedule with focus on timely value delivery.
• Organize and lead project status and working meetings.
• Prepare and distribute progress reports.
• Manage risks and issues; correct deviations and plan deliveries.
• Deliver an agile transformation plan and monitor metrics.
