Job summary

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a Software Development Manager to direct and coordinate development across Agile teams for the IPPS-A AMP program. You will own delivery from user stories to releases, ensure adherence to standards, and partner with architects and SMEs to maintain design integrity.

The role requires 8+ years in federal/government or similar, 3–5 years of team leadership, and experience with Azure DevOps. On-site presence in the DC/MD/VA region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in federal/government/DoD or related sector.
• 3–5 years managing software development teams preferred.
• Experience delivering across multiple Agile teams; SAFe or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate development activities across all Agile teams supporting the AMP program.
• Define objectives, priorities, standards, and expectations aligned with delivery goals.
• Monitor work, capacity and risks at user story and task level in Azure DevOps.
• Ensure delivery aligns with sprint, feature, release, and program milestones.
• Enforce development standards and processes across the community of practice.
• Coordinate with Lead Architect and Solution Architects to ensure conformance to designs.
• Mentor and develop the Development CoP; identify training and staffing needs.
• Present status, risks, and capacity assessments to program leadership and stakeholders.
