Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is offering an Aggregate Project Engineer Intern position in Ohio. You will gain hands-on experience across our aggregate mining business and related lines, working with stakeholders and the Project Management Team on projections and capital projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, proficient with Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and ready to learn in a fast-paced environment with a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a college or accredited school.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with key stakeholders to determine solutions to common issues.
• Collaborate with Project Management Team on monthly projections.
• Learn administrative requirements of the business through hands-on experience.
• Learn the importance of taking detailed messages and timely communication.
• Collaborate with multiple departments on special projects as needed.
• Assist Project Management on ongoing and future Capital Projects, including reports and schedules.
• Assist in improving document control (cost management, construction drawings).
• Explore use of latest technology to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
• Shadow operations personnel to learn planning and aggregate objectives.
