Job summary

Walbec Group is offering an Aggregate Summer 2027 Internship across several southeastern Wisconsin locations, including Waukesha, Racine, Franklin, and Madison. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to aggregate manufacturing operations, safety practices, and production support.

You will participate in safety meetings, assist with site audits, and help track production, materials, and inventory while observing quality control and process workflows.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Geology or Mining.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in plant safety meetings and follow safety procedures on job sites.
• Assist in site safety audits.
• Support day-to-day operations at an aggregate crush/wash plant with production activities and material handling.
• Observe and assist with aggregate processes, including production, stockpiling and loading.
• Assist with tracking production information, materials and inventory.
• Help collect material samples and observe quality control and plant performance.
• Support projects like equipment tracking, site documentation and inventory organization.
• Shadow plant operators and foreman to gain hands-on exposure to aggregate manufacturing operations.
