Job summary

Walbec Group is offering an Aggregate Summer 2027 Internship across southeastern Wisconsin with locations in Waukesha, Racine, Franklin, and Madison. You will assist in production activities at an aggregate crush/wash plant, participate in safety meetings, and observe material handling from production to stockpiling.

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Geology or Mining, you should be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication.

• Self-starter with ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in plant safety meetings and follow safety procedures on job sites.
• Assist in site safety audits and safety-related tasks.
• Support day-to-day operations at an aggregate crush/wash plant by aiding production activities and material handling.
• Observe and assist with aggregate production processes, stockpiling and loading.
• Assist with tracking production information, materials, and inventory.
• Help collect material samples and observe quality control and plant performance.
• Support manufacturing-related projects such as equipment tracking, site documentation and inventory organization.
• Shadow plant operators and foremen to gain hands-on exposure to aggregate manufacturing operations.
