Job summary

Walbec Group’s Aggregate Summer 2027 Internship offers hands-on exposure to aggregate production at Wisconsin sites, including Racine. You’ll work with a team of engineers and construct professionals while learning safety, quality control and site operations.

Shadow plant operators, assist with production tracking, and participate in safety audits as you develop practical skills for a career in engineering, geology, or mining.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, Geology or Mining.
• Self-starter and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Attend plant safety meetings and follow safety procedures on job sites.
• Assist in site safety audits.
• Support day-to-day operations at an aggregate crush/wash plant and assist with production activities and material handling.
• Observe and assist with aggregate processes, including production, stockpiling and loading.
• Assist with tracking production information, materials, and inventory.
• Help collect material samples and observe quality control and plant performance.
• Support projects such as equipment tracking, site documentation and inventory organization.
• Shadow plant operators and foremen to gain hands-on exposure to operations.
