Job summary

Walbec is offering an Aggregate Summer 2027 Internship to students pursuing engineering, construction management, geology or mining. Mentors will provide on-the-job experience across quarry operations, safety, and site procedures in southeastern Wisconsin locations like Waukesha, Racine, Franklin, Madison.

You will shadow plant operators, assist in production and inventory tracking, collect material samples for QC, and participate in safety audits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Geology or Mining.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations at an aggregate crush/wash plant by assisting with production activities and material handling.
• Observe and assist with aggregate processes, including how materials are produced, stockpiled and loaded.
• Assist with tracking production information, materials, and inventory.
• Help collect material samples and observe quality control and plant performance.
• Shadow plant operators and foreman to gain hands-on exposure to aggregate manufacturing operations.
