CRH Americas Materials Inc. invites qualified candidates to join the Aggregate Management Trainee Program in Selkirk, NY, to develop into leaders of aggregate operations through hands-on training and rotations.

You will gain exposure to quarry operations, safety, quality control, maintenance, environmental compliance, logistics, and financial management, while contributing to safety, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Participate in daily quarry and aggregate production activities.
• Learn and apply production planning and operational best practices.
• Assist with monitoring plant performance, production rates, and operational efficiencies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost control.
• Gain experience managing inventory, production scheduling, and customer service requirements.
• Work closely with maintenance personnel to understand preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Gain knowledge of aggregate specifications and quality testing procedures.
• Develop an understanding of operational budgets and cost management.
• Assist with tracking production costs, maintenance expenses, and operating metrics.
• Participate in customer visits and business development activities as assigned.
• Develop supervisory and leadership skills through coaching and mentoring.
• Lead projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, quality control, sales, and administrative teams.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance to support learning, team collaboration, and operational needs.
• Gain exposure to multiple quarry operations.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support business objectives and operational requirements.
