Job summary

Callanan Industries, Inc., a CRH Company, seeks high-potential individuals for its Aggregate Management Trainee Program in New York. Trainees gain hands-on exposure to quarry operations, safety, quality control, maintenance, environmental compliance, logistics, and financial management.

Trainees rotate across functions, building technical and leadership skills to prepare for supervisory and management roles in the construction materials industry.

Qualifications

• Internship or co-op in construction materials or mining preferred.
• Leadership experience in academics or community activities is a plus.
• Willingness to learn operations management and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and comply with policies and regulations.
• Participate in safety meetings, audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Assist with daily quarry and production activities.
• Learn production planning and best practices.
• Help monitor plant performance and efficiency.
• Support cost control, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gain experience in inventory, scheduling, and customer service.
• Collaborate with maintenance on preventive and predictive programs.
• Develop supervisory and leadership skills through mentoring.
• Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives.
