Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Denver seeks an Agentic GEOINT Mission Management Lead to head the technical effort building Voyager’s Agentic Mission Management platform — an AI-native system that turns operator intent into executable collection plans.

You will own the technical vision, decompose complex tasks, integrate sensors, orbit data, and LLM-powered agents, and ensure explainability and operator trust as the system scales from prototype to accredited capability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, mission systems, or GEOINT/remote-sensing.
• Experience leading R&D or prototype efforts for IC/DoD.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered agents.
• Proficiency in Python and backend services.
• Ability to decompose complex mission problems into solvable sub-problems.
• Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance (or TS with SCI eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Principal Investigator for Agentic Mission Management — own vision, roadmap, and execution; represent the work to Intelligence Community and national security space customers; and carry it from working prototype to fielded, accredited capability.
• Lead the design of an agentic architecture in which an AI orchestrator calls mission capabilities as tools, in whatever order the mission needs.
• Design, implement, and deploy production‑ready AI agents that translate operator intent into structured collection requests and valid collection plans, checked against real orbital mechanics and access constraints.
• Build explainability and human‑on‑the‑loop trust into the platform: every AI recommendation traceable and auditable.
• Develop and maintain MCP servers that expose mission systems to agents as secure tools.
• Build evaluation suites that score agents on realistic tasking scenarios.
• Collaborate with GEOINT domain experts to encode tradecraft, policy, and safety constraints into agent behavior.
• Mentor and lead a small, high‑tempo team of AI and mission‑software engineers, setting engineering standards.
• Build a system that takes all‑source inputs to generate context for collection needs.
• Use LLMs as a development accelerator for scaffolding code, tests, and documentation.
