Job summary

PhoenixAI, based in Menlo Park, seeks a Database Support Engineer to drive onboarding, deployment, adoption, and long-term customer success for our Agentic Database. This customer-facing role requires deep technical expertise and strong communication across the customer journey.

You will guide post-sale technical work, deliver PoCs, optimize architectures, and collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to strengthen feedback loops and expand accounts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical support, customer success or engineering roles, preferably with data analytics or database tech.
• Experience with OLAP workloads, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of distributed data processing.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong communication skills to translate complex concepts for varied stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Deployment: guide customers through implementation and deployment.
• Adoption & Expansion: drive product adoption, resolve issues, identify expansion opportunities.
• Customer Advocacy: build long-term relationships with customer stakeholders.
• Technical Health & Optimization: monitor health, troubleshoot production issues, suggest improvements.
• Feedback loop: relay customer patterns to product/engineering.
• PoC Support to Presales: assist with PoCs when needed.
• Documentation: keep records of evaluations, PoCs, outcomes.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: align technical discussions with sales and business goals.
• Marketing Support & Thought Leadership: contribute webinars, conference talks, blogs.
