Job summary

Nationwide’s Cyber Operations team is seeking a seasoned professional to design, build, and operate agentic cyber security solutions that integrate LLM platforms and enterprise data. You’ll collaborate across cyber, platform, and security teams to deliver production-ready capabilities at enterprise scale.

You will lead efforts in incident response, threat hunting, and automation while maintaining secure design practices and telemetry. Hybrid work environment with career-growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in cyber security, MIS, engineering, math, CS, data analytics or comparable.
• Graduate studies in cyber security or related field are a plus.
• Experience in cyber security and software development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead or respond to complex cyber incidents using industry methodologies.
• Create detections and alerts to prevent threats.
• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices.
• Use automation and orchestration for cyber events.
• Manage vulnerability management and remediation.
• Plan team activities to enrich detection and prevention controls.
• Conduct proactive cyber activities (purple/ red teaming) with MITRE ATT&CK in mind.
• Identify key log sources and events for detections.
• Maintain awareness of threat landscape to protect Nationwide members.
• Lead initiatives as part of cyber operations strategy.
