Job summary

Redwire Space seeks an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design and scale the backend, data, and computational infrastructure powering intelligent agents and autonomous workflows for aerospace and defense environments.

Lead integration across simulation, data, and systems teams to deliver reliable, mission-aligned agentic capabilities with secure API design and graph-centric data modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Math, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience building backend systems, distributed services, or data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust for low-latency systems.
• Experience with AI agents, autonomous workflows, or LLM-based systems.
• Graph-centered data modeling with graph databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop agentic system capabilities by integrating AI agents and autonomous workflows.
• Design high-performance backend services with low latency and high throughput.
• Govern data-access layers, indexing, and data-model governance.
• Build and optimize REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs with versioning.
• Model agent memory and context graphs using graph databases.
• Ensure observability through logging, metrics, tracing, and testing.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, simulation experts, analysts, and DevOps.
• Maintain secure, authenticated, and compliant operations.
