Job summary

NXP Semiconductors seeks an Agentic Security Engineer to secure agentic AI systems, orchestration frameworks, and tool execution environments across enterprise domains. You will focus on runtime security, policy enforcement, and secure AI operations in collaboration with AI engineering, security, and architecture teams.

The role emphasizes protecting against risks like prompt injection, unsafe tool execution, and context manipulation, while implementing scalable guardrails and runtime monitoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees such as Masters are preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, runtime security, or related engineering roles.
• 2+ years of experience securing or supporting AI/ML/GenAI applications, platforms, or services.

Responsibilities

• Agentic Security Architecture and Runtime Controls: translate security requirements into runtime enforcement and execution control mechanisms; secure adoption of agentic AI capabilities; secure AI orchestration platforms; perform security assessments; review MCP servers, APIs, plugins, and enterprise integrations.
• AI Runtime Monitoring and Operational Security: build observability for AI agent activity; detect insecure agent behavior and unsafe tool execution; enhance runtime visibility and investigation practices; support monitoring controls for autonomous decision-making.
• Collaboration, Risk Management, and Secure AI Operations: collaborate across teams to deploy agentic AI securely; assess risks like prompt injection, memory poisoning, etc.; support controls aligned with NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLM apps; ensure regulatory compliance and guidance on autonomous workflows.
