Job summary

NXP Semiconductors seeks an AI Security Engineer to secure ML/GenAI/agentic AI solutions across enterprise environments. The role emphasizes identifying risks, implementing secure development practices, and ensuring compliance with NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.

Collaborate with AI solution teams, cloud engineers, and enterprise security to deploy secure AI architectures. You will mitigate prompt injection and data leakage, while guiding secure tooling and governance for AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Advanced degrees such as Masters are preferred.
• 5+ years in Cybersecurity, App Security, Cloud Security, or related roles.
• 2+ years securing AI/ML/GenAI apps or platforms.
• Experience with SSDLC, app security, and cloud-native security.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AI/ML/GenAI security assessments for use cases and platforms.
• Evaluate AI systems for prompt injection, data leakage, and model misuse risks.
• Review AI integrations involving APIs, plugins, MCP servers, tools, vector DBs, data sources.
• Support threat modeling for AI-powered applications and agentic workflows.
• Define and implement AI runtime security controls and monitoring.
• Assist in securing AI gateways, inference endpoints, and service integrations.
• Promote secure development practices across AI/ML/GenAI workflows.
• Engage with Enterprise Architects, security teams, data scientists, and stakeholders.
• Ensure controls align with NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, and best practices.
• Identify and remediate AI security risks across models, data, and third-party services.
