Qualifications

• 1+ years of software engineering or equivalent exposure with AI.
• Hands-on with LLMs or foundation models and tooling.
• Curiosity about agentic AI and production skills in this space.
• Strong CS fundamentals and RESTful API familiarity.
• Basic testing and version control experience (Git).
• Open to learning LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, Claude Agent SDK.

Responsibilities

• Implement components of agentic inventory solutions with tool integrations and prompts.
• Learn context engineering to ground agents in inventory data for accurate, traceable results.
• Help build evaluation scripts and benchmarks to ensure safe, reliable agent behavior.
• Participate in on-call rotations and design reviews for owned components.
• Add instrumentation: logging, metrics, alerts, following Nordstrom security standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business to fit into the inventory platform.
