Micron Technology seeks a seasoned Member of Technical Staff (Agentic AI Architect) to lead the design of autonomous AI agents and data pipelines for smart manufacturing. You will architect agentic systems, deploy scalable AI workflows, and work with data scientists to translate research into production-grade solutions.

The role emphasizes production-grade systems, extensive collaboration across teams, and delivering measurable manufacturing impact through AI agents and cloud-native pipelines.

Formación

• Experience optimizing inference engines for autonomous AI workloads.
• Experience developing GenAI applications and AI Agents using one or more frameworks.
• Proficiency with Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, function calling/tool use, and Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning.
• Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector search.
• Experience building and operating end-to-end systems that automate testing, evaluation, and deployment of autonomous AI Agents.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools, plugins, and skills, and the A2A protocol.
• Understanding of AI Agent security practices, including sandboxing and access control.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Strong scripting and programming skills for cloud environments.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience with data/ML pipelines or production AI systems.
• Outstanding analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet critical timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop autonomous AI Agents capable of multi-step reasoning and tool execution to automate complex manufacturing workflows.
• Implement agentic frameworks to orchestrate LLM interactions with internal APIs, databases, and software tools.
• Build and maintain agent evaluation harnesses to benchmark agent accuracy, reliability, and task success.
• Analyze and profile agent and inference workloads to identify bottlenecks in compute and latency using profiling tools.
• Implement interoperable multi-agent systems using A2A and MCP, including MCP tools and plugins.
• Create/maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying AI Agents to Kubernetes and containerized environments in the cloud.
• Design and implement security controls for autonomous AI Agents (sandboxing, access control, prompt-injection mitigation).
• Mentor engineers on agentic system design paradigms and optimization techniques.
